22RE Toyota 4x4

I have 6 Toyota 4x4’s from 84 to 93. They are all 4 cylinders and have tried many, many ways to increase power output. I have tried many products from many different aftermarket companies. Many times the parts I get from other companies would eventually fit after some grinding, drilling and even welding in certain cases. Some of the parts would fit well but no real noticeable gain was noticed like they would promise.
Finally, I stumbled across a link to the LC website and found out what they had to offer. I decided to order the 22 re header for my daily driver. Wow, a stainless steel part that was very well built that bolted right on without modifications!! I was impressed with the quality and the way it preformed as well, with noticeable gains (both power and economy) on a 135,000 mile engine. Fast forward almost 2 years and 60,000 miles, the header had never given a problem but it was time for a rebuild. At this time I ordered the EFI cam and the K&N air system for it. After I ported and polished the head and re assembled the motor I was happier than I had ever been with a Toyota 4. It performs very, very well and with 25,000 mi on the rebuild I have not had any problems and the fuel economy is 25 – 29 mpg on the highway.

Custom Street Mini Truck

This last purchase was my second from LC, and my largest. The first was due to a head gasket problem, & being a hot rodder my work truck wasn't going back together stock! Cam,headers,oil pump,timing chain, were in order! Performance increased, and I was more than satisfied. Now that I retired,my work truck is a project truck. A custom street Mini truck,to be exact.
The second purchase was a Pro Street EFI, with lots of extras. It runs and looks great,thanks to the great stuff at LC. Any and all questions and advise from them was prompt and to the point.
Thanks again for the great engine and parts to make it what it's turning into!

1991 Toyota 2wd Pickup

I own a 1991 toyota 2wd pickup w/all the options equipped with a 22RE and 5 speed tranny. I bought the truck 3 years ago with a rod knock and a hole in #2 piston for $500. With the help from a local machinist, I rebuilt the engine. Then I started drag racing it at a nearby 1/8th mile dragstrip and wanted more power and I installed a different cam.That helped a little bit, Thats when I found out about LC Engineering and checked out the products and tech info they provide. I ordered a header and adjustable cam gear and installed them. Took it to the track and what a surprise, gained 2 tenths of a second. Since then I have done other modifications like rear diff locker, dual friction clutch, modified the MASS, cold air intake and port matched the cylinder head & intake runners. The truck is now a whole second quicker (10.7s@62mph) consistantly. Thanks LC for superior products and sharing your knowlege with fellow Toyota owners, your header is the best on the market!

I recently purchased a Pro cam shaft, fuel injectors, timing chain kit, head bolts and header stud bolts.
I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the quality and performance of the parts I purchased from LC Engineering.
I rebuilt my engine last summer with a budget kit I bought off of Ebay (I'll never do that again). I never could get that $38.00 cam timed properly. The cheap gasket kit kept springing leaks everywhere and my fuel mileage was horrible. I invested the extra money and bought a Felpro gasket kit and installed the above mentioned parts and the throttle response, performance and the fuel mileage is absolutely amazing now !
I have plans to purchase an early '90's model extended cab Toyota 4X4 and stroke it out, I know where I will buying my parts from now on.
