This is Mark's 1987/1989 4WD SR5 4Runner. This 4Runner is one of the cleanest and coolest 1st generation 4Runners that we have seen lately at the LCE Headquarters in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Years of pasionate hard work invested in this super capable beauty. Also, we almost forgot to mention it is his daily driver! Mark you are doing it right!
Mark originally purchased a red 1987 4Runner ("Ruby R3dRuM") in 2002, with 100,000 miles. Since then and up to king of the hammers 2014 (where it got rolled), it went through a tremendous changes including going through a very capable modified factory ifs long travel and then a full SAS with multiple mods.... Not forgetting to mention the FULL BODY SWAP in April, 2014! The Donor truck was a 1989 4Runner ("Suzy-Q the Silverback").
Built and machined 22RE-C:
* 1MM Oversized Stainless TRW Valves.
It Does 90 mph on the highway fully loaded (Yes, with A/C running) on 35's and passed smog in CA in the top 1% of its brothers class.
