LC Engineering oil pans are custom made for each application. They also come with an oil pump pick up to match the pan sump.
  1. Remove old oil pan and oil pickup.
  2. Clean block surface free of all gaskets and sealer material.
  3. Please be advised that you must determine how much oil each pan holds and where the full mark is on your dipstick.
  4. Put oil pan on a level surface and add liquid one quart at a time, until the level reaches a ˝” below the screen. Count the number of quarts used. This is the amount of oil the pan requires when full, less the oil filter.
  5. Install new oil pickup on engine per factory specifications.
  6. Mark on the oil pan screen where the dipstick goes through and make a hole in the screen.
  7. Install oil pan on motor per factory specifications, torque pan bolts to 9 ft-lb.
  8. Add the amount of oil it takes to fill the pan “Determined in step 4.” Install dipstick and remove, mark on the dipstick where the oil level is. That is your full level, less the oil filter.
  9. Run engine for appx. 2 minutes or long enough to fill oil filter and any other accessories, i.e. Coolers or remote filters.
